Abandoned Water Park

I had this amazing location planned for this shoot and some concepts of lighting that I wanted to experiment with, hence the white rope and white lingerie. We drove a long ways to get there, but unfortunately, security guards kicked us out. Ella, the model, who has spent most of her life living in Saigon, knew of an abandoned water park an hour away. We were all committed and decided to drive and do the shoot there instead. Earlier in the month I had discovered homemade experimental film that was supposed to be 100-200 ISO and came with some pre-exposed numbers on the frames. I decided to use it as one of the rolls for this shoot and happened to get lucky. None of the pictures below are edited whatsoever, it’s just this incredible Vietnamese film.

This shoot was my first opportunity to capture Shibari in this kind of setting. It is something I have wanted to do for years, and I am unbelievably psyched to continue experimenting with it.

The Shibari for this shoot was done by my friend Linh who is also a Vietnamese local.
